Rental Guidelines

RATES - TAX
Rates are in New Zealand Dollars and Goods and Services Tax (GST) is included in all daily hire rates.

PAYMENTS
Hirers must have a current credit card and current driver's licence with them to hire a vehicle. Payment is required at the commencements of the hire.

RENTAL DURATION

• 1 day = 24 hours from time of pick up.
• There is no charge for additional drivers.
• Extensions of hire may be negotiated by telephone, subject to continuing availability

VEHICLE INSURANCE
The daily rental includes insurance.

INSURANCE EXCESS - A POINT OF DIFFERENCE

An insurance excess [deductible] will apply.

*The size of the excess [deductible] is determined by the age of the youngest driver named on the rental agreement. The excess is:

• $NZ1,000 if all the named drivers are over 25 years old.
• $NZ2,000 if any named driver is over 21 years but under 25 years.
• $NZ3,000 if any named driver is under 21 years old.

Where the youngest named driver is over 25 the excess may be reduced to $250 by the payment of the liability reduction fee of $8 per day.

Where the youngest named driver is over 21 but under 25 the excess may be reduced to $750 by the payment of the liability reduction fee of $8 per day.

The excess cannot be reduced if the youngest driver on the agreement is under 21 years.

If the damage incurred was not your fault excess payments paid by you, will be refunded provided our insurers are able to recoup the amount from the party responsible.

BOND
No bond is taken at the beginning of the hire, but credit card details are entered onto the rental agreement.

DRIVERS LICENCE
Hirers must have a current current driver's licence with them to hire a vehicle.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
All vehicles are covered by 24 hour Roadside Assistance.

FREE PICK UP
Our service includes a free pick up from Auckland airport or other local address. We will drive you to our nearby office and sign you out from there.

At the end of your hire, when you return the vehicle to our office, we will drive you back to Auckland airport or other local address.

NO one way hires are available. All hires must begin and end in Auckland.

TRAFFIC INFRINGEMENTS
Unpaid traffic infringement notices received after the completion of the hire may incur a administration fee.
